It's not clear to me if this is all happening in a dream or the power outage is outside the dream, which I assume would possibly be the more significant situation.
In that case, are you sure the beeping didn't wake you from a light sleep (considering you remember what you were dreaming) and influenced your dream. It is possible to steer your own dreams if you get better at identifying you are dreaming. Then you can pretty much do anything you want - start with flying.
It's not clear - maybe you woke up with the light on then the power went and the beeping started. But then again in Bangalore, "what's the point the power will go now" is a good prediction any time.
nah, 'm a light sleeper, the wake-up @ drop of a pin kind, so i couldn't have b een sleeping with the beeping on, also the ups makes a small sound before it starts beeping and i remember waking up to that sound :)
'n yea the light was off, 'coz i remember i had slight trouble switching off ups to stop the beeping... :)
